Making water filters.

On Wednsday  October 3, Bob and our class made water filters. We first read a story about a girl named Salila. She saw a turtle in the Ghandis  which was polluted and wanted to help make clean water for it.  So, when we were making our water filters we had to use a plastic bottle with different materials inside. The day before we went into looking at which materials worked the best and why. Anyway, when we were making the filters, each partnership had a glass of contaminated water. There were three types. Soil water, tea water, and cornstarch water. I worked worked with soil water. We tried one design, and then we were able to improve them. The materials we used were cheesecloth, cottonballs, screen, paper filters, gravel, sand, bottles, and a few more. Many of us had major improvements.  Thanks for listening !
